About Luis

Luis has always worked towards a career in creative media. It just so happens that he gravitated towards games.

He has over 5 years of experience working in the games industry. He attributes his success to being able to work on well received games like WWE 2K19, A Hat in Time, and the MMO Shards Online.

Luis enjoys photography, working on cars, and continuing his quest for the best donut in LA.

on a helpful note:

It can sometimes be hard to get the feedback you need to grow as a developer. No one designs a game alone, and it’s hard to figure out where you can improve if you lack access to a community of like minded individuals who share a passion for games.

This was definitely my case for several years, and the solution also gave me the biggest leg up of my career: Mentorship. Mentors work, providing the necessary info and feedback beginners need to learn, grow, and find their place in the industry.

Times i’ve spoken about games (And mentorship!)

I gave a talk to members of the GDC Conference Associate community on pivoting in your career, finding a place in games, mentorship, and any questions the wonderful attendees had for me.
